“My daughter, Madison, attended the JEI Summer Camp in 2011, after completing first grade. I love the full-day curriculum ─the children study English, Math, Science and Art in the morning (to keep their skills fresh). After lunch, they go on field trips like any other summer camp. Madison loved bowling, going to the movies, playing various outside sports and swimming at the nearby aquatic center.
JEI’s summer camp combines everything a child needs—outdoor exercise, fun with friends and great teachers who make learning new things fun and exciting. It was a great experience for my daughter.”

NJ Ask disappointment leads to 100% average in high school algebra
“During the course of 12 years of school, every child needs some extra help.”
Victoria’s parents place a premium on their daughter’s education. But when they reviewed her seventh grade scores for NJ Ask which were distributed after she started eighth grade, they were disappointed to see her math scores ranked her as only “partially proficient” in that subject.
“With high school just a year away, we knew she would have to improve her math aptitude so we decided to get her some extra help,” explains her father, Richard. “Some of our friends sent their children to JEI for different enrichment programs and spoke highly about the quality of the teachers there.” After discussing their educational goals for Victoria with JEI director, Elsie Koo, the eighth grader started twice weekly in the JEI enrichment program for math.
Today, Victoria is a freshman at a Monmouth County high school. She is studying Algebra and Geometry and currently has a 100% average in the course, according to her proud father. Best of all, her parents report that math is no longer a headache for her. Now that she has solidified her understanding and appreciation for mathematical concepts, Victoria says she actually looks forward to her math class.
“During the course of 12 years of school, every child needs some extra help. We addressed our daughter’s challenges before she entered high school, where things would really get tough. We are so glad we took action and sent her to JEI,” Richard says.
Middle School Math Assistance
“My three sons, who are in seventh, eighth and ninth grades, attend JEI for Math and English enrichment. Their math classes in school are very demanding. In addition, they will all be taking important placement tests in the next year and we want them to do well.
All of my boys love Miss G, their Math teacher. They tell us she has a way of making algebra and geometry fun! We use JEI as an important means to enhance their skills and confidence, especially in Math. We are very happy with the center.”

“After we moved here from northern New Jersey, my daughter needed some time to adjust to her new school and surroundings. We were disappointed with her low math level placement and decided to get some extra help for her (after trying to help her on our own).
She has now caught up nicely and is in a regular fourth grade math program. We were so pleased with her progress that our son, a first grader, is also attending JEI. Elsie recommended starting children in enrichment programs when they are younger and she was right.
Going to JEI is just part of my children’s weekly schedule and they both look forward to it–even after a full day of school.”

Elementary School Enrichment
"First, I really need to compliment the director, Elsie Koo. Everything is very well run and extremely organized. My daughter, Kathryn, does very well in school and truly enjoys going to JEI for English and Math enrichment. It’s a warm and friendly environment. They have a knack for making learning fun for the children.
Kathyrn also enjoyed JEI’s summer camp. Her favorite outing was a visit to the local restaurant,Tokyo, with Elsie. She still talks about that experience every time we pass it by in the car.
JEI is the best environment for my daughter. She loves it and so do I!”
